The short version: AstroHarvest collects anonymous gameplay statistics and crash reports, so the game's difficulty can be balanced and faults can be found and fixed. It does not collect anything that identifies you. There are no accounts, no advertising, and your saved game stays on your own device.
This policy applies to the AstroHarvest mobile game (package
com.astroharvest.app), referred to below as "the game". The game is developed and
published by an independent developer at
astroharvestgame.com; contact details are at the
end of this page.
The game reports anonymous gameplay statistics and crash diagnostics through Google Firebase. This exists for one reason: the game is a long climb, and the only way to judge whether its difficulty is fair is to see where players actually get stuck.
What is collected:
What is NOT collected:
The game has no user accounts and no login. You are never asked to identify yourself, and nothing collected is used to build a profile of you or shown to anyone else.
The game saves your progress — resources, upgrades, unlocked sectors, settings, and similar gameplay state — in your device's local browser-style storage inside the app. This data:
You can erase it at any time using the wipe-save option in the game's settings, or by clearing the app's storage through your device settings, or by uninstalling the game. Uninstalling removes it permanently, and it cannot be recovered.
The game itself runs entirely offline — all artwork, music and sound are bundled inside the app. A network connection is used only to send the anonymous statistics and crash reports described above. If you are offline, the game plays exactly as normal; reports are simply queued or discarded.
The game uses Google Firebase (Google Analytics for Firebase, and Firebase Crashlytics) to receive the statistics and crash reports described above. Google processes that data on our behalf under its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
There are no advertising networks, no social media integrations, and no other third-party software in the game.
The game is distributed through Google Play. Google collects certain information as part of operating that store, independently of us and under the same privacy policy.
AstroHarvest is intended for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — because, as described above, the game does not collect personal information at all.
Privacy laws in many regions give you the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data a company holds about you. Because the data described above is anonymous and is not tied to your identity, we hold no personal data about you and there is nothing for us to look up or erase on request.
Uninstalling the game removes your saved progress from your device and stops any further statistics being sent.
If the game changes in a way that affects privacy — for example if in-app purchases, advertising, or crash reporting are added in a future version — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the "last updated" date above will change. Significant changes will also be noted in the release notes on the game's store listing.
